ATTACK CARDS are the basic combat moves in CARD KATA. They come in 3 elements: WIND, WATER and FIRE.
PUNCH - 5 cards of each element, 15 total. PUNCHES can be played on their own or played after a JUMP of the same element as a COMBO!
KICK - 5 cards of each element, 15 total: Like PUNCHES, KICKS can be played on their own or after a JUMP of the same element as a COMBO!
JUMP - 4 cards of each element, 12 total. JUMPS can be played on their own or as a COMBO before a PUNCH or KICK of the same element!
Use DEFENSE CARDS to guard yourself from ATTACKS!
DEFENSE cards CAN ONLY be played on PUNCHES or KICKS. They cannot be played on JUMPS, other DEFENSE cards, or
as the first play in a round.
DODGE - 3 cards. The DODGE allows a fighter to avoid an ATTACK without having to draw a card. DODGES do not change the element of ATTACK.
COUNTER - 3 cards. The COUNTER clears the field, reverses the direction of gameplay, and allows the fighter to play an attack in the element of their choice.
BLOCK - 3 cards. The BLOCK forces the previous fighter to take back their PUNCH or KICK, clears the field, and allows the fighter to play an attack in the element of their choice. Gameplay continues in the same direction.
The first fighter to play out their entire hand becomes THE MASTER! Remaining fighters continue the battle until only two remain. The MASTER may call for a SHOWDOWN, a fast-paced, two-player game to determine
The last fighter with cards in their hand will be deemed THE WRETCHED DOG!
